Talking S4 vs. S5 13bt

The S5 has more power (200) and a compression ratio of 9:1. The S4 has about 18 less hp but a lower compression ratio of 8.5:1. Which motor would be better to modify? Can the S4 hold more boost because of the lower compression?

I am sure the S4 could hold a slight more boost if both engines were in the same exact condition. I would go with the S5(and plan to if my engine goes).

The S4 will hold more boost, and will take a nice hit to the rotor face, and will suffer less in the case of an apex seal breaking. The S5 face will sometimes be dented if confronted with detonation.

the s4 holds more boost but i have an s4 and an s5...s5 being the parts car, i swapped everything except the motor from the 90 to my 87...due to a blown seal and seized turbo on the 90...had a bad oil problem at 85k miles and turbo filled with oil and seized somehow...
