s4 turbocharger / wastegate part question

I'm fitting up my s4 turbocharger, and noticed I'm missing a small part...

It's a 90* brass fitting that screws into the pressure outlet and connects a vacuum line to the wastegate. Aparently it's missing from mine, and I'll definetly be needing it.

Where can I pick one up, or better yet, does anyone have one laying around or have a J/Y around that may have one? Thanks for your help again 2g pimps...

Can you just tap a barbed hose fitting in there for a replacement?

Actually, I found an old Ford Probe GT Turbocharger in my pile of junk parts. The turbo is actually PERFECT shape, but WAY too small for any rotary.

Anyway, I robbed it of the fitting and all is well for now... SORTOF. I'm starting to dis-assemble my turbo to port the wastegate out and I'm noticing some problems with it.

The biggest two is that the impeller has about 1mm movement forward and backwards, and MAYBE .4mm side to side. It does NOT touch the sides at all and still spins freely, but I guess this means it's either junk NOW, or will be soon, right?

The other problem is that when I took off my compressor housing there is a section of about .75" of the part that 'seals' missing a chunk. I guess I'm saying just where the beveled edge is that mounts the housing and has a bit of sealant is missing a small part... Will that hurt anything or no?

Just thinking here too... do I HAVE to take the turbo apart to port the wastegate hole? I'm afraid to either find MORE problems with it, or just flat out tear it up taking it apart. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Yes you should definitely remove the housing before porting. It's an easy one minute job that'll save you from potential damage later. As for finding further problems, wouldn't you rather find them now rather than once you put everything together?
