I am working on upgrading my 12a in my sa to an s4 turbo 13b.

Does the turbo require an intercooler? Will the Turbo II ecu and wiring harness work for the (non)-turboII?

Much thanks!

Also, what pressure rating is ideal for the fuel pump?

yes it needs a intercooler. doesn't have to be a fmic. u could go with the stock top mount. but all turbos have a intercooler, small or big. Let me get this straight. your doin a s4 turbo II motor( and turbo) into a "n/a" right? the factory TII ecu will work with the s4 TII motor.

Yes. The stock turbo is a very old design and highly inefficient at boost levels higher then 10 PSI.

I'm not sure what this means. Do you want to use the TII ECU and harness to run an NA engine? If so, then that will work. Otherwise you will have to clarify your question.

Fuel pumps don't have a pressure rating, they have a flow rating. The pressure it produces is dependant on the pressure regulator.
