S4 Turbo II Tranny

I am old school guy so forgive for asking a question that might be a lil dumb....
I just bought a S4 turbo II motor and tran. I know that motor is a turbo II by the stamping on the housing. But how do I know if it a turbo II Tranny? Is there a number or anything that would say it a turbo II.

one way to tell, and this Is assuming that you already have a N/A..The driveshaft of an N/A will NOT fit into the tailstock of a TII trans.(splines are different.)

the TII trans is more "rigid" looking lol
it has ribs going vertically along the trans, I think there are 4-5 ribs on the trans if I remember. It just looks more stout compared to the n/a trans.

The Turbo II tranny has a large inspection plate bolted to the bottom side. The n/a tranny doesn't have this.

also, if you want to know if it's S4 or S5 T2 tranny, there's a different # of bolts ( I think) that hold the bell housing on to the gear box

actually, the non turbo transmission doesn't have any bellhousing bolts as the bellhousing is moulded to the case. the turbo transmission has a removable bellhousing.

anyways the picture above shows the differences between the TII transmission and this is what the non turbo transmission should look like(not my pic):

This is a turbo transmission:

This is a non-turbo transmission:

Also, the TII transmission has an inspection plate on the bottom.
