S4 turbo fit S5

I know that the S4 turbo assembly will not bolt up to the S5 exhaust manifold but will the S4 turbo section bolt up to the S5 wastegate section?

There are early and a late style S4 turbo's. The difference being the number of heat shields and a slightly different exhaust housing, discussed -> https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...-turbo-998342/.
Use the late S4 CHRA, rotating assembly and coldside + S5 exhaust housing, wastegate actuator and oil/water lines.

strange that i have never come across the elusive twin heat shield early s4 turbo. i have at least 6 S4 turbo cores torn apart, and never have come across anything described like that in the past.

Thanks for the info and the link. I searched but didn't find what I needed.

I found another turbo, hopefully its not the early S4 type. I found this one on eBay, at least if its junk my dad can get his money back.

Its unbelievable how many times we have been ripped off over the last 2 years. Guys actually sell stuff they know is junk.

No worries! Just make sure the person you are buying from has a good selling track record. Dishonest people are everywhere.

On a positive note, just think how good you and your friends are getting at removing the turbo off and re-installing it.
