s4 tranny work with s5 engine/shaft?

s4 tranny work with s5 engine/shaft?

i blew my first gear and possibly shift fork on my s5 na
friend has a s4 tranny was wondering if it would bolt right up or do i need to make any modifications to the drive shaft, new knuckle etc

not sure if the amount of splines are the same havn't been able to count

are you sure you didnt just blow up the clutch like i did?...

symptoms, cant get into any gears, clutch pedal feels dumb funny.

yeah the shifter is stuck in 1st gear completely solid and the car rolls like in neutral

What you are describing also sounds like a bad slave cylinder.

You'll need an S4 crossmember, otherwise it's a bolt on affair.
