I'm gonna take stab at it, with very little info, and say it's probably a misadjusted idle.
5 minutes is about how long it takes a car sitting in a driveway to go from cold to warm, so it's likely the BAC and AWS, along with the fast idle are keeping it running (probably rough) until the idle is fully unassisted (once warm). And if the car dies, and is restarted, it's already warm so there's no boosted idle level aside from the 17 seconds of BAC/AWS air.
Check your variable resistor, air adjust screw (on the BAC), and TPS.
