Unhappy s4 t2 wiring help please!

Hey guys I just got done with my s4 t2 swap into my gxl. I know this information is on Kevins website. In order to follow his steps I need the stock s4 na engine harness and I dont have one. I need to rewire my alternator and my temp gauge. Can sombody please explain in full detail exactly where these wires need to go. I really wish I had a na harness. Thanks

Your run two new wires from the back of the alternator into passengers side of the cabin. Run them along with the rest of the EM harness wires that pass from the engine bay into the cabin on the passengers side.

You should have noticed two large yellow/orange plugs just on the passengers side of the firewall that are a part of the EM harness. They in turn connect to two plugs that are a part of the FRONT harness.

One of those two plugs has fifteen pins in it. So. Now look at the plug on the FRONT harness that the fifteen pin plug mates with. You'll notice in that F plug there is a Black/White wire just above a White/Black wire. THOSE are the two wires the alternator needs to mate with. Your two NEW wires will mate with the Black/White and the White/Black wires in that plug.

Now look at that plug with the Black/White and White/Black wires in IT. Now look at the plug it mates with. If you look carefully, you'll see the color of the wires in the plug that mates with it are NOT White/Black and Black/White. They are Brown/Red and Brown/Black (possibly pure black instead of brown/black).

So common sense states you'll cut the Brown/Red and Brown/Black wire about six inches from the plug and attach your two new wires to the left over wire on those plugs.

Now go look at the OTHER of the two yellow/orange plugs. It has thirteen pin/sockets in it. It also mates with a thirteen pin/socket plug on the EM harness.

You'll find in the 13 pin plug on the EM harness, that it has a Yellow/White wire in it. That is the water temp wire from the sender on the engine. Sorry 'bout that. you need THAT wire to be moved over to the FIFTEEN pin/socket plug where you need to mate it with a Yellow/Black wire that goes to the combination meter and the water temp gauge there.

This is assuming you put a Turbo EM harness on the engine instead of a non turbo EM harness AND it is NOT a JDM EM harness.

If it's a JDM harness just forget it altogether.

The things to remember: Two plugs. One fifteen pin/scoket and one thirteen pin/sockets. They are a part of the EM harness. Those plugs mate to plugs on the Front (F) harness.

All the wires in a turbo EM harness plug do NOT have the same function as the wires in a Non Turbo EM harness.

If you installed this Turbo EM harness on the engine, you should KNOW about the two plugs I described and their location in general.

The White/Black wire goes in the upper hole of the two socket plug on the alternator. The White/Black goes into the lower hole in the alternator plug. They mate with the same color wires in the fifteen plug connector which is a part of the FRONT harness.

I'm repeating myself too much. Done
