s4 t2 to s5 t2 swap help me please
Hi,
I have a s4 t2 with a blown engine, I want to buy a jspec, but also want to upgrade to an s5 engine. I have heard it's possible with moy stock ecu and wiring harness, just need to change the front cover/OMP and use the old sensors.
Is this true?
And will it hurt the engine reliability-wise?
I have an s5 t2 ecu that I purchased, but can't find a s5 t2 wiring harness that's economical. Help me, I need to do this swap within the next few weeks.
Thanks all
-Adam

Cool.
I heard that before, of course, but I'm scared that I'm going to do the swap that way and then not have it start up. The more people on this site I hear it from, the more confidence I ave in doing the swap that way.
thanks

The only way to do the swap is to use the stock sensors that came in your car. The s5 ecu and wiring would not even plug into your car anyway, so dont bother getting it.
Basically the engines are damned near the same, except for rotor weight and compression. If the car still sees all it's stock sensors, it'll run just like it did before hand. You'll get a few extra horses from the higher compression, and you'll need to watch for higher boost levels.
