Recently while trying to have sideways funtime in an empty lot my rear diff mount came loose (apparently I put a rear subframe nut in place of the diff mount nut and stripped the nut and it came off) and the diff came off the stud and put a lot of stress at a bad angle on the axle and it snapped.
I assumed the axle was broken as it spun in the boot and didn't find out until the Turbo axle I ordered from eBay and confirmed twice was turbo turned out to be an NA axle. I took the bad axle apart and there was actually no damage to the axle itself.
There is a snap ring of sorts that hold the guts together in a ring landing and that is what got bent and contorted and the only thing keeping from putting this back together.
I am trying to find a rebuild kit for the inner CV joint if anyone knows of any.
Thanks in advance.

And the answer to my own question is:
87 1987 Mazda RX7 CV Boot Kit - Driveshaft & Axle - Beck Arnley, Dorman, EMPI, Inner, Outer, Rear Inner, Rear Outer - PartsGeek
$17. I hope someone else finds this useful one day in a search result

looks like cardone makes a replacement.... $68
A-1 CARDONE Part # 608025
different part number than the N/A axle.

I wouldn't trust anything online that says T2 even though the part numbers are different. I think someone compiling the fitment database for these companies screwed up. You won't find out until you are under the car for an hour and the axle you swore was T2 won't fit.
