A person I know cracked the "tension-bolts" on the compression part of the housing with about 380BHP with a t04e, streetport and autronic SM2 @ 14PSI (0.85bar) on a standard S4 block....with your mods i think you need more dowell pins.

As the saying goes, an engine's power and reliability all come down to how well you tune it.

A brand spanking new S4 block, if tuned properly you porbably wouldnt make enough to be able to break it

a used S4 block, old age and wear, 200,000 miles . You'd be lucky to get 400hp

well i have a 35k mile s4 stock block and port.... im about to dyno tune so im wondering when to call it a day. the turbo setup i have could push the hell out of it. im thinking get 400 and be happy. save the crazy race gas tuning for a ported monster when this one lets go.

i really want to make 400 on pump 93.

400 should be no problem, it is tuning that is the key and not all gas is created equal so if you plan on running it at 400 all the time it won't last long.

well im going to have water/alc injection for added safty. bdc is doing the tuning... and he tunes it safe.

im gonna run low boost like 10psi daily and hit that high boost button when i feel like pwning the streets on sat night.

i was wondering if its worth it to get some high numbers with race gas while he is here.... or just be happy with the 400 im shooting for on pump.
