S4 shifter in S5 Transmission?

I just got an S5 turbo transmission to replace my S4 turbo trans, and wanted to know whether the shifter from the S4 will work in the S5. I know the threading for the shift **** is different, but is that the only difference? Thanks a lot!

Yeah, You can use your s4 shifter in the S5 trans. You can even throw NA trans shifters in TII trans' of both S4 and S5.
Differences are that (and don't qoute me) the S5 trans shifters had a little bit shorter throw than the S4's. That and you're right about the shift **** thread is different.
