S4 Shell + S% drivetrain, couple questions
I have a S5 vert in perfect running condition that I smashed up a lil a while back....a rear quarter panel....and I've got an opportunity to get a good S4 vert shell, so basically I have everything for an S5 engine and a S4 shell to put it in
I have searched for a little while now and more or less found a few things I knew already such as I will need to use the harness from the S5 rather than try and hook it up to the one already in the car, but what about mounting the engine? I couldn't find anything on whether or not mounting is the same and would appreciate an answer to that and any other info you could help me out with
Thanks

Using the s4 engine harness would be easier.
But you could switch over ALL S5 wiring into the S4. I would leave the wiring all hooked up to the engine and trans. Unplug the harnesses under the dash and swap dashes, heater core, blower motor, ECU etc. even the doors but idk thats just me. I would want a newer wiring harness and not on that i rigged. to make work in an S4. You learn alot about RXs when you do a swap like that.

hey thanks guys, yeah, glad the mounting is all the same, that would be the biggest pain to me, I don't really have and metal working experience. I think I would prefer the whole harness swap, I know there are a lot of ends and what not but is it as hard to mess with as I've heard?
