S4 -> S5 Warning light cluster (in an S4)
so i picked one up at the scrapyard for 5 bucks..
its perfectly intact
anyways, silverrotor has done this mod i know of, but i was curious to see if anyone else has done it..
the lights are rearranged in the S5s, but the harness from an s4 plugs right into the s5.. but the problem is that the lights are incorrect - ie - my parking brake is pulled up = my fuel light is on.
curious to know how everyone overcame this.. im assuming rewire the harness..
but i was hoping theres a better way, possibly using some leftover innards or something from the S4 cluster?
if i have to rewire it, i will, but then i want to know what wires go where..
thanks!

Yeah the simplest way is just to move pins in the harness. They pop out real easy once you move the lock tabs in the plug.
But I am surprised that the plugs are different. Maybe it's just the 86.
By the way, the 86 was different from the 87 (which was different than the 88), and the 88- up are all the same.

I don't have the wiring diagram for an 86, but for the 87 and up looking at the wire side, the wires are as follows:
Top row:
Blk blu/Red Grn Brn/Wht (connector lock) Blk/Yel Yel/Red Grn/Blk Wht/Red
Bottom row:
Blu/Blk Red/Blk Blk/Red Blk/Yel Blu/wht Yel/Blu Grn Red Red/Wht
