Red face S4 S5 transmission

Can you use a S5 transmission on a S4?

Yes, but you need to use the crossmember from the same series as the transmission, otherwise it's a straight bolt on.

harder? define "harder."
more durable?
harder to keep alive?
harder to shift?
made of more solid metal?

define your terms, por favor.

Stock turbo, you'll be fine with either.

The bolt pattern for the shifter's also changed between series.
