s4 --> s5 side moldings worth it?

im getting ready to get a paint job on my s4....ive noticed the s5 side moldings look better painted, and seem like they're made of a diff material.....COULD and WOULD i benefit from replacing my s4 moldings with the s5?

youd have to get S4 bumper covers to match the mouldings if you replace it on the sides. I suggest you just leave your car how it is, or be brave and just fill the moulding and sand it so its not there anymore, just amke the side of your car a smooth line.

it'd be soft then wouldnt it, i wouldnt figure it'd hold up good

no it wouldnt be soft. Body filler dries hard, and if done well, you cant even tell where its been used.

alright, ive got spare doors/fenders.....hell ill give it a shot, any particular brands better than the other?

No you won't benefit from switching to the painted mouldings. All you will have is maybe 1 or 2 OZ more weight because of the paint.

I don't really know and frankly don't care. I suppose it will stick but I ain't a ricer so I wouldn't know.

switch to s5 and by God whatever you dont try filling in the molding yourself..i did that once......thats why my car is black and no longer gold and still has the moldings...i wil be switching moldings when i fix my girl all up
