S4 or S5 questions?????

so im finally buying the things i need to do my turbo swap. i have an s5 Vert and im doing a jdm s5 swap. my question is what s4 parts are compatible with the s5 conversion. and are some S4 parts better than S5.. ive heard S4 turbo diffs are better than S5.

I prefer the s4 omp, since it's mechanical over the electrical omp. The downpipes can interchange on either or.

you will need all s5 electronics (n370 ecu, map sensor, afm) and more...

what I would do (and what I'm doing now lol), is just get a haltech. n370 ecu's are hard to come by and will run you $200 or so. the afm another $100, the map sensor $50. the haltech will provide compatibility for most any upgrade you plan to do and is 100% customizable. you dont want to be mixing s4 and s5 parts IMO. used haltechs run about $600-$900

you could also go the rtek route but still need to find a good n370 ecu...plus a couple hundred bucks for the upgrade(which isn't tunable like the haltech)

i know this i a noob questoin but what does the map sensor do and where does it go... and do i have to have it... and same questions for the knock sensor

also how hard is it to run a haltec.. i have no experience what so ever with tuneable ecu's

i have a full haltech setup if you are interested...the harness is mostly terminated, you will need to run about 5 or so wires...i can help you with it...
