Question S4 and S5 N/A Driveshafts Different?

Mazdatrix lists different part numbers. I thought they were all the same...

are they swapable?

The lengths/specs are exactly the same in both the S4 and S5 manuals. It's listed in the "propeller shaft" section. The flanges and yokes are the same too, so whatever the difference is, it's minor.

I sold one I thought I pulled from a 89 gtu and they went to swap in their 89 gtu and told me it was a couple inches shorter than the one they pulled out.

did I sell a t2 conversion shaft?

The NA and TII yokes and flanges are different, so a conversion shaft like what's in my car would not work in an NA.

This is the diagram from the S4 manual. The S5 one has all the same specs. You can see the overall length of any manual shaft (NA or TII) is virtually the same. NA automatic driveshafts are 2" shorter than any of the driveshafts, and will have the TII-style yoke.
