s4 s5 jdm difference

i bought a 87 tll with no motor and i am wondering what you guys think would be beter to do if i should put the orignal motor in it or a s5 or a jdm and what is the difference beteen the s4, s5 and the jdm

The original engine would be the easiest swap.

There is no imporant difference between Japanese market engines and North American engines. Just a few emissions changes.

Big difference between S4 and S5 as far as electronics go, but only slight changes on the engine (slightly higher compression, casting changes, a few other misc things). NA S4 and S5 engines are radically different.
