I have my S5 restore project going really slow but I have found an S5 in a junk yard with a completely in tact wiring harness on the interior that I can pull. However, I was wondering if the wiring was kept the same between the S4 to S5 to save me the hassle of pulling the wiring from the junk yard. The wiring in my S5 has been highly tampered with and modified when someone added an aftermarket security alarm.

Can anyone shed some light here? I have researched and tried to compare the plugs in the wiring books but I have not found anything concrete. Thanks!

As far as I know, S4 and S5 harnesses are different in many ways. They'll have the same or similar function though so you may end up splicing various connectors to get it working properly.

The dash harness' are different. I put an s5 dash into my s4 and all I had to do was swap the harness.

Well, thanks guys. Would be better off yanking one from a junk yard versus wire splicing.
