S4/S5 Intake manifold differences

I'm going the 6-port N/A to turbo route and I may be picking up a set of S5 intake manifolds and exhaust manifold w/ turbo tomorrow.

Just wondering if there will be any issues with my S4 N/A engine. I've read about guys doing it with S4 turbo mani's but not S5.

Your help is appreciated.

Turbo intakes are the same, exhaust mani is different(s4=twin scroll).

S5 TII intake manifolds have slightly larger secondary ports, which isn't going to matter if you're slapping them on a 6-port block. They weren't going to line up well in the first place.

Quite the coincidence. Im doing s5 tII na on my 90 gtu-s. I ve done lots of reading(research), but still would like to clarify few things. My question is that if im able to run the full long tII intake manifold all the way to the intake ports, are the six port inserts removed? Would there be clearance issue, between the Mani.and turbo which there shouldn't be since it would be s5tii turbo t-18 with its factory intake mani. With the emission components still attached? And is the knock sensor considered since the s5 shortblock doesnt have one, is tapping one an idea to get some sort of signal frrom it?

1) You wouldn't use the aux. port inserts if you're not using an NA LIM. They would be free to rotate on their own.

2) Clearance between the LIM and turbo is solved by using the TII LIM; problems come from using an NA LIM with a stock turbo and manifold.

3) I would tap the raised boss on the NA housing for use with the knock sensor. That's how it's done on S5 TII housings.

I may be picking up an S5 turbo full intake mani, exhaust mani, turbo, fuel injectors, throttle, pressure sensor, and MAF sensor from a blown engine for $350 CAD. This a good deal?
