The S5 didn't have a hard suspension. All models came with the same suspension except for verts.

As far as the S4 models the hard suspension was 24mm front and 14 mm rear except for the 'verts which were 24mm front and 13mm rear.

If you trying to use a S4 sway bar on a S5 model it won't work, as the two use different stabilizer bars, stabilizer bar end links, and control arms.

No. You would need a S4 stabilizer bar to use S4 control arms, and RB endlinks.

And end to end would be the length, not the width

It's not going to fit.
Trust me.
I doubt you'd save $100.
The RB bar (or almost any other aftermarket front stabilizer bar) is about $100.
That means you're getting it for free???
I highly doubt that or the shop is really stupid.

We pay $500 for a custom one for our 20B FC applications!

can anyone tell me what is differnt about s4 and s5 sway bar ... and im not talking about the mm either? and why is the R/B sway bar the same for 86-91 if the s4/s5 is not the same ... it sure sounds like i could keep my stock bar on my 91 with the s4 control arms- R/B endlinks- and s4 endlink brackets ... if not then why. O and i would save 140.00 FYI.

NO, again the end links are different.

The S5 Stabilizer bar uses ball joint endlinks.

The S4 stabilizer bar uses conventional rod style end links.

Even the mounting angles at the bar are different.

It can't keep the stock end links and fit a S5 stabilizer bar. It must be a typo.

Again (I don't know how many times I must post this) The end links are different the bars are different the control arms are different. You have two people (probably the ones with the most FC experience on the board) telling you this. But go ahead and buy the parts and find out... its your money not ours.

I am sure it is like the stabilizer bar links that Mazdatrix sells, the part number is the same, however the parts you get are specific to the series. the ask you what year/model you have. For example the Mazdatrix links for the rear S5 stabilizer bar, have the ball joints fitted through and need to use the kits spacers, while using the links for S4 models you need to use the provided bolts and no spacers.

well its about time ... thank you for the FACTS! i never said anyone was wrong or doubted their experience on the ( board )... i just wanted to know why. also if what you say is fact then my R/B sway bar & links might not work well together with my s4 LCA.

Why are you questions what Racing Beat recommends?
Wouldn't it be the logical thing to ask Racing Beat about THEIR recommendations?
