s4 and s5 gauge surround same?
s4 and s5 gauge surround same?
im looking for a new one but s4 seem to pop up more. my question is are the same beside the switches? i have s5 switches (my s5 surround the threads for the cruise control switch are messed up so i want a another one) and will transfer it over to the other one.
is there any other difference?

the other differences are cosmetic. It's slightly boxier and there's like a plastic piece above the headlight display. (ya i have no idea how else to explain it). That's it I think...
No, they are not the same, even though they both serve the same purpose.
If you're going to be swapping the upper / vertical section, you need to get the bottom section that fits around the shifter housing.
They do not mix-n-match.
Then, on top of everything else, you need the shifter boot specific to each series.
The shifter boot does not mix-match either unless you're willing to punch new holes to line up all the little pins.
A lot of the shifter surrounds I've seen for sale do not some with the boot.
Well, I'm assuming we're talking about a manual trans here...

You're right.
The plastic surrounds are all identical.
They are all usually broken - the screw hole posts.
The switches are not swappable.
