Question s4 and s5 engine

how do you know which one you have and what do you have to look for on a 13b tii to know if the whireing will work??

You can look at the number of fan blades, waterpump neck and omp.

S5's have 10 fan blades and s4's have 8 I think.

S4's have a metal waterpump necks while s5's are plastic.

S4's have mechanical omp's and s5's have electronic ones.

On the s4 housings there are some writing on the top. The s4 has a totally different intake from the s5.

the s4 has and egr valve under the intake manifold, and no egr on the s5.
