S4 S5 ecu which one is which

I'm ordering a T2 engine and I wanted to make sure that he send me the right engine. I know that the S4 has 8blades on the fan and 10 on the s5. He only has one of the 8blade but I wanted to make sure that someone didn't swap the engine fan so i want to send him this pic so he can compare the S4 from the S5 ecu. So which one is which. Thanks guys

Do something other than your fan blade ID. Ask him where the knock sensor is located on the engine. That alone will ID a series four from a series five.

Ask him where the knock sensor is located. If it's located in the imtermediate housing, it's a series four. IF it's located above the spark plug in the Rotor housing, then it's series five.

Also the TPS will be a single plunger TPS on a series four with three wires, but the series five have two TPS plungers and six wires.

Also ask him what the number is on the ECU. An example would be N332 or N333 or the dreaded N340.
