Question S4 and S5 clutches

I've tried searchin for this an can't find anything really helpful.

Anyway I think the 91 GXL is gonna ride again.

However, my fiance messed up the clutch pretty badly trying to race me in the sunbird (i beat him if anyone wondered, my gxl was bein worked on)

So here's the question: He recalls hearing that the S4 and S5 clutches are interchangable.. is this true?

If it is true then that saves us like 100 dollars or so..

I can be reached at mist1006 on aim.. or just post here

Thanks

I looked at clutches/pressure plates side by side for an s4 and s5 TII, I could not see any differences. try looking at mazdatrix web site or asking mazda dealer if parts are same.

Well I got one of each ordered into work (advance auto) and from the looks of it, the clutch diameter is the same, just the s4 seems thicker..

But I eye-balled both sets, and when you put the PP with the disc, they both look like the same distance from mounting point to the endof the clutch disc, so I figure they'd both work..

Any more ideas>?
