s4 or s5>>>???

ive owned both a s4 se and s5...i drive my s5 now and am very used to it now. however i test drove an s4today and have ridden in a s4 tII recently and it to me seems to handle completely differnent. to me it felt more solid of a ride and it seemed that it had more bottom end than my s5. any thoughts on this? it could be a dumb question

If the S4 NA had more bottom end than your S5, there could be something wrong with your S5 or maybe they have modded their S4?

The TII is obviously going to have more power....

The s5 would be the way to go, they are more improved. They have higher compression and lighter rotors than the s4, so they redline higher and produce more power and have more hp potential.

S4 turbo came with a clutch differential, the s5 turbo come with viscious differential, some say the s4 differential is better than the viscious, because the viscious can more easily cause drivetrain damage (i think).

The only bad thing about the s5 from what i know is that the omp is electronic and can fail without you knowing until engine is blown , and the s4 is mechanical and wont fail without you knowing due to it going bad like the electronic one would.

Yeah, the OMP is a drag with S5's.. but I've never personally known one to fail.. Doesn't mean they don't... and I KNOW people on here have seen them fail. But, plenty of people have seen mechanical ones fail as well. However, when it does fail, 95% of the time, it puts the car into whats called "Limp mode". You would DEFINATELY know if it was in limp mode. Almost NO power, just enough to get you onto a flatbed.

S5's definately are a little more improved upon than the S4's. They have the VDI manifold, and the air-pump actuated 5/6 ports. The VDI is the difference that makes the car have more horsepower than the S4 (well, a lot of it). and the 5/6 ports driven from the exhaust allows you to upgrade your exhaust ***** nilly without having to worry about exhaust backpressure to operate your intake ports which is gay.

Check the standard options post in the stickies... seriously.

lol, no im sure my cars in good shape just had a rebuild not to long ago, i wasnt saying the s4 was faster than my car i know it wasnt. when i bought my s5 after owning a s4 it just felt different, i remember the clutch being a huge difference and took a little gettin used to. im wondering between the s4 and s5 clutches does that feel like a big difference? my old s4 really threw ya back in the seat it was basically stock, but my s5 is alot smoother, im not complainin about that cuz i like a smooth ride thanks for the omp comment though maybe i should look into some aftermarket guages.
