ok sorry i havent posted in a while. bascially what happened was i dropped my engine on the ground like a dumbass after making some poor welds to the engine adapter plate. there was no visual damage to the block it self but i destroyed the oil cooler so that sucks... but after switching from arc to mig, i added additional reinforcement to the adapter and it holds VERY strong. for some reason the engine is at a slant tho...not sure why.. but here are pics of the before and after of the plate. and some others for you entertainment. i want to have the block taken apart for next weekend...its spring break and i want to the the core rebuilt and have everything cleaning within that time period...

lets just say im not proud of what happened...i consider my self an idiot for trusting those poor welds so flame all you would like...i think i diserve it frankly.

damn man that sucks, i just started reading all these post now and soon as i saw your engine stand that you made i knew it wasnt gonna hold. If only i could have gotten to you early to tell you to redo it before you do more work. O well, good luck with the build. Im gonna be doing the same stuff soon.

I jumped up and down on my adapter plate to make sure my welds held... But I was using MIG w/gas... And I globbed the welds on there... In one area, I have like... an inch thick of welds..

alright sorry i havent posted for those who have been somewhat payin attention... ok so i have the engine apart and everything and i had to buy new stuff...perhaps some saw the thread about rotaryresurrection a bit ago. so i have the parts painted and almost ready to reasemble...accept i just noticed that one of the ceramic housings was for an na and a turbo... the turbo housing has the coolant port but im worried that i cant mix and match the n\a's and the turbos togethers. is this going to be a problem? oh yeah what do you think of the color scheme?

i was wondering what happened to your thread :P I would think that the NA and Turbo housing are the same. So using them together would be ok if they are within spec. You got me on the oil seal springs.

Hope things get done up well skatingsamurai

dude, did you look at the indentions on the actual rotors?
i ended up havin to re-use my old ones since my rebuild kit from atkins didnt come with the oil seal springs.
on one side it has a somewhat of a nub. rounded off tip that should go in one of the round holes on the rotors.
it helps keep them from spinning

the spark plug timeing on the T2 housing isnt the same on the NA housing, there a few mm off from what i read on here. and the usdm S4 T2 housing insnt the same as the jdm t2 housing but the jdm S4 t2 has the same timing as the usdm S5 housing.
