S4 rear caliper interchangability?

Firstly I searched and there was conflicting info; second, the info I need is not in the FAQ.

I have an 87 4 bolt S4 and my rear calipers are messed. I have an opportunity to get rear calipers from a 5 bolt S4 apparently also solid rear disk for a very good price. Will the 5 bolt rear calipers work on the 4 bolt rear of my car?

Help is much appreciated.

This is the problem.
There is no such thing as an S4, 5-bolt rear, solid brake rotor.
Only S5 had such a thing...

Hmmm okay, only vented rear discs for an S4 5 bolt then. So the seller I'm talking to is obviously confused. So Ted, if the seller is confused and it is off of a 5 bolt S5 solid disc, with it work on my 4 bolt S4?

If the rear disc is from the same car as the calipers it's not going to work. The calipers would bolt right up since the knuckle on the rear is the same as the 5-lug but it wouldn't work properly with the 4-lug disc so you'd have to rig something up.

I'd recommend just getting the 4-lug calieprs from NAPA and be done with it (it didn't cost me more then $40 to get a reman last time I replaced one) or get the whole 5-lug conversion and go that way.

Much to my misfortune, I haven't been able to find a rear brake caliper for a 4 bolt for less than $120 CAD, and that is for ONE, with core (incidently it was at NAPA)... It actually may be cheaper to do the 5 bolt conversion, with the exception that I have new rubber on my 4 bolts...
