Exclamation S4 na to turbo wiring???

Hey guys,

Before anyone brings it up, I did read the S4 NA to turbo swap details in the archive section multiple times. I promise.

I've tried to make the thread as easy to read (skip through) as possible.
-----
A little back story as to why I'm asking (you can skip the italics, it's me ranting lol)
-----
I took my GX out of storage two weeks ago and have been driving it for the last two weeks. I picked up a T2 car yesterday with the intentions of swapping my GX over the winter. On my way home in the GX, the release bearing decides it wants out. Car drives but it makes a terrible noise while trying to engage the clutch and I can smell clutch material. So instead of spending my time and labour with replacing the release bearing or whatever else is broken in a driveline that's going to be removed anyway, I just decided to move up the timeline of swapping the GX.

The questions are so I can prepare my electrical guy

-----

In the aforementioned thread, it only mentions the following pins 1R 2K 3D in regards to wires having to be modified in any way. They all had one thing in common, that they can be cut and ignored according to that thread.

1. My question for those of you who have done S4 NA -> T2 swaps, is what wiring was involved?

2. Did you guys use the NA harness or the T2 harness?

Lastly, in regards to injector impedance, a variety of sources mention that LI injectors were installed in vehicles from 1986 - 1987.5 with the last four digits of the vin being less than 7601 and anything that doesn't meet that criteria had HI injectors.

3. My question is, are the years mentioned referring to model year or build date?
My donor car is an 88 model year but the last four digits are 6587 so I'm assuming the dates mentioned refer to build dates and not model year.

4. If my assumption is correct and my donor car has LI injectors, I don't need to worry about changing anything in regards to injector wiring, correct?

Thanks for your help in advance guys,

Angelo

I used the N/A harness.
State what 1R,2k and 3D do...I cut the wire to the PS..( I think 3D).
Lenghtened the TPS and Injector wiring.
The ECU's on the S4 likes to see HI..so really it doesn't matter what the harness is as you can bypass the Resistor pack on the N/A harness if need be.

My Social insurance number ends in **** so what impedance am I???..I came without a manual..
(woops..thread jack..sorry..hahahha!)

All FC ECUs need to see a high impedance load at the ECU, so you don't have to concern yourself with the year, just meter the injectors you plan on using. If they are in the 10-14 ohm range, you've got high impedance and don't use a resistor box.

1R - TURBO = Knock control unit - NA = PS switch (This is the one you cut Dave)
2K - TURBO = Twin scroll solenoid valve - NA = Split air solenoid
3D - TURBO = Fuel pump resistor relay - NA = Inhibitor switch

don't worry about the Resistor relay if you use the S4 N/A Chassis & wiring.
