s4 LSD into s5???

Hi, I have a 90' gxl n/a, and I was curious if the s4's LSD would fit into the s5 housing, or would I have to swap the whole rear end? I was told it would work but I wanted to ask the experts before I tried anything on my own.
Thanks for reading.

they would fit the housing, as long as it's NA to NA, or TII to TII.

A Miata Torsen will also fit an NA.
An FD Torsen will also fit a TII.

Thank you for the reply and info. Well I dont have the money for the tII rear end so I wanted to see if the diff off my n/a s4 would work. Which do you think works better: the miata torsen or the s4?

I believe the s4 is clutch type, and it really comes down to preference.

depends on what you want to use it for

drag? S4
road course? miata
autox? either will do, as long as you build the clutch diff to a non-aggressive lockup rate.
