S4 intake manifold to s5 conversion

S4 intake manifold to s5 conversion

i just wanted to know if it can be done.. what needs to be changed and is it worth it...ive heard that some people that run in scca ITS spec rx7's convert to the s5 manifold if they start off with an s4...ive search and have come out empty handed..thanks

You can, just use your throttle body with tps. s5 lim+uim+s4 throttle body. Correct me if i'm wrong.

The s4 and s5 LIM are basically the same. The middle sections ( between the LIM and TB) are very different and both pieces must be used together. In stock form, I think that the s5 manifold will yeild more power, but I have also heard (from a racer) that the s5 mainly helps with low-end power and doesn't do much for top-end power. I have done the swap on my car, but its not running right so I can't tell for sure if it has helped much. Going by the butt-dyno, I would say that it has some more punch up top, but the main difference I can tell is that the power band extends higher than with the s4 manifold.
