s4 headlights won't go down
I own an S4 just bought it,
and the headlights won't go down.
I don't know if the headligh motor is shot or what.
How do I check? I know in the First gens theres a mechanical way to wind them down.
But i'd prefer to get them electrically to work.
I looked but I never saw anything, any pics or info on where to loook would be appreciated thanks.

Umm if i where you check your connections and also see if anything is under it because if something gets stuck it tends to not let the light go down and if those are good then i would expect it to be the motor

It could be your CPU. That is located next to the fuse box on the drivers side. It also controls the turn signals so you can turn them on and listen for the click to make sure you are in the right place. The manual I have doesn't say that it controls the headlights but....My turn signals quit working & I bought a new CPU off eBay. When I put it in the turn signals worked but my headlights stayed up. The next spring I pulled it out and removed the turn signal unit and put it in my old CPU. With it reinstalled my signals worked and the headlights went back down and work fine.

Did you check if the switch to keep them up is on? It's the middle switch on the left side of the gauge cluster. That's the first thing I'd check.

Hey thanks for the imput guys,
You know I was trying to look for the switch, and I wasn't sure cause they weren't moving which one it was, so thanks $100t2
I'll check out if the CPU is working, and if not i'll take them out, and put them back on.
if that doesn't work i'll probably have to buy a new motor.
this car has been sitting for three years, so somethings probably fucked.
