S4 FPR Fuel Rail adapter

Like the title says. I know the S4 fuel rail has the FPR bolted on, so I was wondering where I could pick up an adapter to attach an after market FPR?

Would it be better to just to do.....

http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/FUEL/pararail.jpg

???

Price wise I would prefer a cheap adapter, because I know AN fittings can get expensive, but I would prefer to do it right rather then cheap.

The advantage to the fc3spro one is I can remove my pulsation dampener. If I chose that method, would I have to get the fuel rails tapped to accept the AN fittings? And would they work on the S4 rails?

Thanks for the info.

I've never tried it, but I've always figured that since the FPR can be unscrewed from the fuel rail then a brass hose barb can be screwed in in it's place. Then you can connect anything you like to it with high-pressure fuel hose. And while that may be "doing it cheap", there is nothing wrong with it. AN fittings and SS hose is just expensive bling on a street car.

I probably won't be doing SS fuel lines. Don't need to bling that much.

I saw an AN to barbed adapter though. Maybe I will do that.

What about this thread?

Here they go to an adapter? Then I could just hook a fuel hose to it?

Thanks for the link. I searched for a couple hours but came up with hardly anything. Guess I should have check the archive before searching.

Live and learn.

Thanks again guys.

LoL. Ok. NM about my last post.

So, Are there any M14x1.5 to barb adapter? I just want to take off my current FPR and run a rubber line from there to the FPR.

Take the fuel rail (sans FPR) and a length of 5/16" fuel hose to and engineering supply shop and tell them you want to join them together.

The FPR on the NA rail connects via a flange and two bolts. The FPR has a little pipe that goes into a machined area of the fuel rail and seals with an o-ring. Therefore, you can't just screw in a barb.

In the past, I have tapped them for M14 x 1.5 as per Ted's writeup. Then any M14x1.5 to -6AN adapter can be used. Or a hose barb if that's your thing...
