s4 with fd manifold omp Q's
I recently purchased the fd manifold with adapter, sorted out the emissions nonsense, throttle cable and tps rewire. I just jave a question about the omp, are there any suggestions with pictures for reference on how the omp is linked up, could i run the omp wide open at all times?, reason to not block off omp is it works( tested as per fsm) also just intstalled fresh teflon lines. Please assist, thank you

I vaguely remember Clokker suggesting or having used a bicycle brake cable to perform this function. That may be your best solution instead of trying to rig up the rigid rod.
agreed
There is no way to keep or modify the rod, it is too short. I have thought of a cable driven omp but just fabricating.... I dont want to fabricate much. Any thoughts on a 100% fully open opm rod? P

i would use the cruise control cable spot. measure it up, and go have a cable made at a bike shop

Sorry, I don't remember the exact length.
You can see it could be a bit shorter or longer and work well still.
Did that back in 2001 and just sold the car- so no problems since then. I lubricated the cables with anti-seize.
