Problems starting

I bought my rx7 a few days ago and it ran great but then the car died and i couldnt get it to stay running which i found out the alternator went out so i ordered a new one (will be here in a few days) and i jump started the car and let it charge off the alternator on the other car which worked to get it back into my driveway but i charged the battery completely and it wont start now even if i try to jump start it it just cranks for a few seconds then the battery is dead im thinking the starter is done for but i want a second opinion before i drop $100 on something i dont need

have your battery tested.

also, charging the battery with a jump vehicle takes a while and the rotary car starter system is very demanding of a good condition fully charged, healthy battery.

The ECU has nothing to do with the engine turning over, only running
