i have a 86 Na and i just got a custom exhuast from a shop. I have no cats now =) Well I wanted to have my ports working so i told him to do something with the pipe so it will get the exhaust velocity.

The guy just melted a hole through the down pipe and then melted off the end of the port piping and just put the rest of it though the hole and welded it together.

Now im getting weird noises and like when im going from a stop, or just idling i feel this viberation from under me. By this setup im i hurting my car?

 

your split air pipe is probably knocking against the firewall...and your heat sheild is probably also vibrating @ low idle...plus your ports won't open with your custom exhaust set-up...I had mine done and the split-air pipe re-attached...ther're just isn't enough exhaust velocity with the cats removed to activate the aux ports...just zip-tie them open..that's what I did...the low-end low loss isn't really noticeable..plus you already lost most of your low-end from removing your cats...
