Question S4 Door handle Stuck. (searched)

I walked out to get in my car today, and it was jammed. reached in from the passenger side and it opened right up. From my searching I got a bunch of FD results, and the few FC threads were about different problems with alarms and stuff. They didn't sound like what is going on here. I will be taking it apart tomarrow to see what i can find. But i'm hopeing to gain some insight before hand.
The handle jams within a 1/4 of the usual distance it pulls to open. It will also pull all the way if i push in and up on it, but it doesn't catch inside and open. just pulls really loose, or jams. Anyhelp help/advice would be of great help.

I'll try the lifting trick, and if i can't see whats wrong tomarrow for sure, replacement here we come. I heard once of a plastic part that usually breaks in the winter, has anyone had this happen? Does it do what mine is doing? Any other input is still much appreciated.

If you can lift it and it opens it just means your door is out of adjustment and that anyone that wants to try and run off with your car dosnt know how to get in.lol

No problem, but if it drops down to far you will not be able to lock your door keep that in mind.

it is the joint on the doorhandle that broke
i bet if you wiggle it right, you can get the end toward the back of the car to "get out of track"

time for a new door handle.

Broken door handle it sounds like. Common problem. It's not actually a plastic part that breaks but, the cheap cast metal arm that pushes down on the wire/arm/thing. You're hoing to need a new door handle, more than likely.

If it does happen to be a plastic piece (which I doubt) then you're in luck. But, I'm going to say that it's a broken exterior door handle.

it could also be the small sideways spring on the latch that broke... which doesnt return the pusher all the way, and you wont be able to ever unlock your door an dlose some tension which pulls the door handle back.... and the door handle grease is probably all dried up and caused it to kinda stay....

lube it back up when you replace it...
