S4 6ports/ airpump actuation conversion

Does anyone have any diagrams or pictures of converting an S4 to airpump actuated six ports? I'm getting a CorkSport catback and midpipe within the next couple of days, and I'd like to be able to fix the six port system. I've been running with only the two precats since I changed the transmission about a week ago (a main cat stud stripped out, I can't get it back on) and the -20 some HP loss of my six ports is very obvious.

Yeah, I'd like to see this as well... Although the RB dp has the thing to actuate the 6-ports, I'd prefer to just gut/remove my cats and straightpipe it.

Actually much easier and cheaper than that crap is to use a S5 ACV and a spare EGR or FPR or other FC vacuum solenoid from a junk yard S5.

The S5 ACV already has the output for the pressure line, so no funky drilling and connection to the air pump hose, and the stock vacuum solenoids are designed to switch off and on like you need (which the mini mac really is not).

Simply hook the air output line from the S5 ACV to the spare/junkyard vacuum solenoid, and from there to the pressure input for the aux valves.

Still use the RPM switch from summit, but that and some vac line is all you really need to buy new.

You'd have to be selective in which solenoid/valve you got. One type passes vac/air fron port to port when energized.....the other works just the opposite.

or just zip tie the 6 ports open all the time.

They are reversible

You just swap the ends.

There are three openings. All interchangeable depending on what you use them for.

Thanks guys, that's pretty much what I was looking for.

Does anyone know offhand the inner diameter of the main airpump hose?

The way I've heard you should do this is to splice off the air pump to ACV line. all you need is a valve, a couple splices and a couple pieces of hoses. Though this is what I've heard, I have never done it that way. The electronic way would probably be the best way to do it (so you know exactly when it opens) instead of the blow off of the acv. It might be that the blow off of the acv is just as good though.

It changes size at the ACV, at the ACV it is 1 inch (smaller at the air pump though, like 3/4 or 7/8 - I just don't remember off the top of my head).

Yeah, the filters just pop off. Don't even have to pull that hard.

They are all the same valve. Its just where the filter is attached and the lines run in that changes based on application

Well judge. It does indeed POP off. Just a hair line crack after I did it, but it did pop off. Didn't know that. Took a little bit of pressure though. Not quite *pop off*, but that's probably because it's been there fifteen years. Learn something new every day.
