S4 5th/6th port actuation. split air line not connected?
1986 base model n/a. manual steering,no ac.
I noticed that there is a spout on my catalytic converter which (I think) is where the split air line goes. I have been reading threads here and from what I have read, this line is needed to actuate the 5th/6th ports on an S4. My entire line seems to be gone so are my 5th/6th ports not working at all without this?

thank you very much, I hadn't seen that site before. since my car has 4 piston brakes, I think that the owner before me may have modified systems. I will check to see if my 5th/6th ports are wired open. the car seems pretty zippy and I don't have any hesitation are "hitting a wall" type of feeling around 3800 rpm's so I'm not sure.
I plan on going t2 full swap. since that is a 4 port motor, the air pump is strictly emissions related and back pressure in the exhaust has no effect on anything correct? If that is right, I might as well wait until I swap the car. it drives fine in the meantime.
