?'s on high miles and swap
well, my 86 7 has about 205k miles on it and i think its about that time that it needs a rebuild.
first of all, i wanted to ask what i need to do to swap a T2 motor in... im not really asking for a complete write up, i just want to know the basics of what is needed so i can get an idea of what im getting into. (links to write-up's would be appreciated).
i would've searched for it, but im not sure how different the wiring and what not would be since mine is an 86. (i would just look for a T2 since i know it would be cheaper just to buy one, but this car has WAY too much sentimental value for me to just toss her to the side like that. she literally has saved my life before)
but the main question i had, was what you guys recommend doing at 200+ miles... i already know i need to change all of the suspension bushings, well, all suspension parts for that matter. and do some spot welding to strengthen the chassis a little more...
(again, links to any threads or sites that you think might help me would be appreciated)
