S-AFC Rant
Well I never used the AFC so I am probably wrong. Why the hell would you use an S-AFC if boost is not taken in consideration. I mean I am going to put my faith in a device that is rpm/tps calibrated. I heard that the AFC can be wired to your pressure sensor to make proper corrections. Is the S-AFC just as reliable as the stock ecu. (meaning: Does the S-AFC modifiy what is needed to provide the right map for boost or is it based solely on RPM and TPS.

for the FC, the SAFC has a connection to ground, power, RPM signal, Throttle signal, and it Interrupts/modifies your Air Flow signal. no boost signal listed in the instructions.
it modifies fuel buy modifying your AFM signal. In the case of boost, the more boost you run, the more air you are sucking in...so fuel would be adjusted accordingly i would imagine.

The stock ECU calculates fuel flow based on airflow, not boost. Since the S-AFC alters the airflow signal, you can tune the fuelling requirements exactly to the amount of air the engine is using. How well the S-AFC performs is directly related to how well it is tuned. Since it is rather simple compared to a fully programmable ECU, tuning has to err on the side of caution a bit more. You must make sure the tuning gives sufficient fuel to the engine at all times.
