S-AFC enrichen?

does the S-AFC have the ability to enrichen the mixture at all. I've been told that it can, but now i'm given contradictory info. Something about it giving a code to the MAP. I thought that you could run your injectors a little richer. it's a piggy back. all it does is manipulate the stock signal. SO can the S-AFC enrichen then stock signal?

Yes it can, as long as your injectors are'nt running a
%100 duty cycle. CJ

I have been doing reserach out the wazzoo (is that really a word) on the S-AFC...looks like it can, but it appears to work best if you upgrade the injectors and then turn them down (assuming turning them down 50% is enough)...

It really just amnipulates the signal from the MAP/Airflow sensor...if the ECM sees less flow then it will plug that value into a table and get a lower injector pulse width (less fuel) Likewise it will turn the injectors up if the SAFC sends a signal that there is more air than what the meter is reading.

The only thing that I have yet to find out is if the SAFC will do any sort of datalogging....BUT after searching around I have found a way to datalogg through a wideband controller, and that is no longer an issue for me.

That is correct. You cannot ask your injectors to flow more than 100%. So the only thing you can do, is get bigger injectors and tune them down to what you need with the S-afc

It's...complicated (at least to explain).

The S-AFC can richen the mixture, but only as much as the stock ECU allows. Best is to get larger injectors and use the S-AFC to tune them DOWN.
