Rx8 Wheels on my fc

Will wheels from a 2008 rx8 fit on my '89? I tried to fit some '05 mazda3 wheels on the rx7 to test it but they rubbed against the spring on the front. am I going to need a spacer or something? Anybody try this before and want to give me some tips? Thanks.

The wheels are the same width and offset as an FD.
8.0" wide, offset +50
There's lots of references on how to fit FD wheels on FC's.
There's even info in the FAQ stickies.

SEARCH.

Think you might have answered your own question there with regards to the rears. Only use spacers if you have to and then as long as you have enough room to get a finger between the rim and the spring then it will be fine.
Not sure what spacers you will need for the fronts though.

it would look kinda dumb with just spacers on the front, wouldnt that make the front stick out more than the back?
