Who here thinks that taking out the torn seats out of my 88 vert and putting in black leather rx8 seats would incr the sale value of the car.

 

Don’t get me wrong, I voted against the rx-8 seats only because of your question, I don’t think it will increase value…as an investment, you’ll probably spend more money than you’ll ever get back.

 

I agree with chexmix but i voted yes because i didnt read the question. I think the seats would be sweet tho.

 

No way do you get enough in your sale to pay for the RX-8 seats. Heck, a pair of RX-8 seats from the dealer are worth more than my CAR!
Even from a junkyard, you'd be better off finding a used set of Sparcos or something...

Sure they are expensive from a dealer or something, but you can probably pick them up cheap from an 8 owner switching seats.

But im not a fan of the RX8 leather seats. Have you sat in them? stock ones are better IMO.

 

I'm sure you'd get a bit extra for the car with the RX8 seats, but as said before, I would imagine it would cost more than you'd get back.

 

No you won't. They know a lot of RX-7 guys want them.

I voted no, BTW. When selling a car, the worst thing to do is to put more money into it.

 

Except for tune-up things that would be red-flags to potential buyers.

my friend with the 8 is giving me his stock wheels (new ones are in the mail), and seats if I want them (but I dont).

 

ask him how much he wants for them, then? my seats are torn something horrible

 

i think they would look kind of out of place in an FC....would look sweet in an FD though.

 

get some nice recaros that are reclineable, no buckets

 

how does the rx-8 seat looks like anyways in the first place.. i've seen rx8 from a distance but never really close.. anyone has a picture.? also for everyone to see as well.. and we'll be the judge of this.. seat in a seven from a rx8 or leave it seven or other oem seats.. ( as said above. if its going to be on the sale section then nAw!. don't even try bother getting a rx8 seat.the price of a rx8 seat hahaa your not going to get your $$ back.. unless other wise...) anyone have a picture.. plus how many diffrent kind/style does the rx8 carry anyways..

I voted yes to put them in. Reguardless its a rx7, you could put 100k into the car and only get 50k for it at sale.

 

red/black RX-8 seats... couldn't find any pictures of all black seats...

 

I dont think they would fit in an FC. I think jt-imports said they were too wide, but I suppose if you put enough time/money into it you can make them fit.

 

I'm hoping to drop some FD seats into my 7
