rx8 seats in my TII

i decided to trade my v-racing seats for some rx8 seats...

so heres what i want to know. does any1 have any tips or experience to share. i know that they are going to be high, but so were my racing seats so i dont really care.

i have a mounting bracket from mazda trix i believe that mounts the seats to the stock holes. im wondering if i can use that or possible transfer the rx7 seat bracket onto the rx8 seat. anyone ever try this?

ill try to do some pics along the way if any1 is really interested.

if they sit too high you can take them to an upolstery shop and they will take the seat cover off and trim the padding or put differnt padding in so you sit lower..just had it done to a pair of my own seats

well i know they fit fine in fb's, Kim had them in her supercharged FB (im an SA owner too atleast until someone buys it) but i didnt know FB and FC seat patterns were the same.

im more curious about swapping the "sliders" from one seat to the other... sounds easy right now, but thats because i dont have any seats in front of me yet

Are you wondering if just the sliders or the entire seat pan will swap?

Has anyone tried welding plates to the floor and bolting through the floor? I was looking at these threads and really want these in my car, I was thinking of pounding the brackets flat and bolting through the floor (through welded plates on both sides...

Maybe i'm rambling.

When I owned an RX8 I measured the seats cause I wanted to do the same thing. From what I recall the RX8 seat is taller than the stock RX7 seat. After measuring them I didn't even try to set one in my RX7.
