i didn't drill into the chassis either? clearly my pic shows using the stock bolt/wholes. on the passanger side, i will admit it does sit a little higher, and mounting had to be a lot more creative.
i wanted power seats, sue me. now if only i could get a tilt/telescopic steering column... and steering wheel mounted radio controls /factory rx8 steering wheel. ah, can-bus is a bitch. a $$$ one.

i find the ANGLE of the seat itself important, like my seats have the same height at your knees, but the *** part is a little higher, in other words the stock FC seat has you sitting on a slight angle where other seats have you sitting flatter

BINGO!. This what mine evolved around. The pass. seat, i made the butt part tilted up. This way it feels like it cups you. I feel it makes the passanger feel safer. The drivers side, i made it sit more level but not to level. I want to feel like i can see out of the windsheild. I didn't want a huge cup for the drivers side b/c that would be alot on my thighs working the clutch. probably rub it raw lol.

Sorry for the delay of the final pictures of the right side. BOTH seats sit straight, mounted on the stock fc mounting points, as stated earlier the lower seat cushion seats at the same height as the stock fc seating position. The owner of the FC is loving the new feel of the seats! BTW the owner came up on a killer deal from my seats being they have no tears stains from my 07 rx8 with 15k miles.

the comment was not directed at you, in your picture you can clearly see it mounts to the factory FC mounting points. great job with getting all of the electronics to work

Looks good!

I have power rx8 seats. You guys have any ideas of a way to make them non-power? I really haven't examined the seats too much. The are just sitting.

Yea...Take all the power **** off, Use OEM seat rails. This involves work. DO NOT leave any part of the Rx8 seat rail on the seat brackets. BTW all the cushions to the seat Unzip so you can take everything off then you can clean/wash the material

Awesome! Thanks for the tip. I was thinking of something along those lines but wasn't sure. I got the seats given to me so I don't mind spending a little extra to have then installed the correct way. I have to learn how to weld one of these days.

We did this on the kid's vert as well. We havent gotten around to powering the driver's side seat yet since we set it when we installed it and it fits him just fine. I have the wiring diagrams and a Painless WeatherPak connector to do it. Just havent gotten around to it.

As seen in gregs22's picts, the passenger seat does sit higher. If you were doing a 10/10s install you'd have to section at least half an inch out of the passenger seat's left side frame. I'm 5'10" with a 30" inseam and my hair brushes against the headliner just enough to annoy me. Might be more room in a coupe and the passenger seat is for girls anyway.

Thats EXACTLY why i said what i said^^^^. im 6'1 if i was on the pass. side i would never be able to ride with the targa section in. My pass. seat is about 3inches lower than the drivers seat now . when i set in the seat my neck is about were the top of the door is. . Hows that suspension doing?

The suspension is doing beautifully! We cleaned all that Ohio mud and rust off of em, painted em and slid em in. Dramatically improved the ride and handling!
