The RX-8 is NOT an RX-7 successor.
To think so is demeaning to the whole RX-7 lineage.

Oh, you mean only in North America?
Well, if you think that any VIN standard applied to North America is used also in the ROTW, then I think you're in for a big surprise.

your kinda being childish, it says FE on his vin ... therefore FE should be acceptable.

and it sounds like its not only in north america. I personally couldnt care less cause i dont own a "FE"

And you're being really ignorant on how Mazda Japan assigns these things.

Look at the FC3S, for example...
In Japan, the VIN's are "FC3S-xxxxxxxxx".
This is a totally difference format than what Mazda North America uses.
The U.S. has used a pretty standard format for ALL automobile manufacturer VIN's over the past few decades.
Does this mean the ROTW follows?
NO.
It's not about being childish.
This is the facts.
To claim otherwise is downright ignorant and foolish.

For the record, the Mazda internal model designation for the RX-8 is SE3P, whether you like it or not.
You need to admit you're wrong, and not tell me I'm childish.
Go argue with Mazda if you don't believe me...

On topic people. If you want to debate the VIN numbers and designations of the RX-8, there are places to do so. This topic has nothing to do with it.
