The RX-8 6-speed is weaker than the FC turbo trans.
Why would you want a less reliable transmission?
Also, do you know that the overdrive gear is not that much different.
Instead of 2-3-4, you get 2-3-4-5.
4th gear on the 5-speed is 1:1.
5th gear on the 6-speed is 1:1.
So you don't gain another overdrive gear.
It could be argued as a viable swap for an FC non-turbo, but the extra power of the FC turbo will surely break the RX-8 transmission.
