rx7 newbie! need som advice

ok so im new to the rotary scene. bought a non running gxl and heard all the bad **** i can stand about these cars. but i love the idea of them and the potential. so i spent all day yesterday fixing the fuel delivery issues and swapping out the plugs and wires and finally got her started. still has a "miss" when at idle and wont rev up past 4000 rpm and is slow getting there to boot. so dirty injectors? bad coils? i noticed when i was checking all the wires for a spark that the right hand trailing wire did not spark as good as the rest. also i drove it a bit around the shop parking lot and noticed a heavy "clunking" sound im thinkin u-joints or half shafts..? tell me what yall think, any advice would be helpful..thanks in advance

Peform a compression test.

The clunking noise could be nearly anything. Where does it come from? U joints, broken transmission mounts, broken engine mounts, half shafts, dagging calipers, etc. etc.
